About The Authors

Shelly Glazier, M.Ed, LMFT has taught courses on Medical Emergency Awareness in the Boston area including Brandeis University’s BOLLI (adult education) Program. Mrs. Glazier is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She also managed a pediatric practice and worked as a medical administrator for Boston Children’s Hospital Pediatric Medical Association.

Mache Seibel, M.D. spent nearly 20 years on the Harvard Medical School faculty and has won multiple national awards for patient education, research, medical writing, and music composition, and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Seibel is a professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
